Founded in 2020, Fifi Stitches is more than a fashion brand. It is a continuation of a story that began at home.
Long before it became a label, fashion was present in Esther Adeosun’s everyday life. Growing up, she was constantly drawn to her mother’s sewing machine, observing, experimenting. That quiet curiosity gradually turned into skill.
Her father recognised this early and after completing her secondary education supported her to formally pursue fashion, grounding her creativity with structure and discipline.
Esther went on to train professionally between 2015 and 2019, developing a strong foundation in garment construction, pattern making, and bespoke tailoring. In 2020, she officially launched Fifi Stitches, translating years of hands-on practice into a fashion house defined by craftsmanship, precision, and cultural storytelling. She later expanded her technical and entrepreneurial training at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, through the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Development Studies (IFEDS), completing advanced fashion and business development studies between 2021 and 2022.
At its core, Fifi Stitches explores the relationship between African heritage and contemporary form. The brand works extensively with textiles such as Aso Oke, Ankara, Adire, wool, and silk, reinterpreting them through clean silhouettes, modern tailoring, and refined detailing. Each piece is designed to feel intentional, personal, and expressive, garments that allow the wearer to tell their own story with confidence.
Fifi Stitches is rooted in bespoke fashion, but driven by purpose. Beyond dressing clients across Nigeria, the UK, and the diaspora, Esther is deeply committed to mentorship and skills development. Through training initiatives, community programmes, and hands-on teaching, she supports young and underrepresented creatives, particularly women, in gaining access to fashion as a viable profession.
For Esther, fashion is not just about clothing. It is about identity, dignity, and possibility. Fifi Stitches exists as a space where culture meets craft, where tradition evolves, and where fashion becomes a tool for expression, empowerment, and long-term impact.
